Yosemite Facelift
World of Adventure goes with a Special Projects team made up of park Climbing Rangers and Stewards at the 13th annual Yosemite Facelift to remove trash and litter from one of the most iconic rock formations in the world, Half Dome. Over the event’s lifetime volunteers and park representatives have removed over 1 million pounds of trash from Yosemite National Park, this year adding over 12,000 pounds to the cumulative amount. The event started by Ken Yager, founder of the Yosemite Climbing Association, as a former climbing guide with aspirations of cleaning the climbing routes as well as bringing together the different cultural groups within the park including the climbers and National Park Rangers.
First Chair Festival
World of Adventure is on site for the first-ever First Chair Festival in Salt Lake City. This event kicks off the ski season with film premiers, concerts and gear demos to get the ski community ready to get back on the snow.
Snowboard on the Block
World of Adventure hits Snowboarding’s official kick-off event in Denver’s Sculpture Park, premiering some of this year’s best snowboard films, hosting world-class musical performers and bringing in enough snow for an epic pro rail jam.
